Leash Pulling Training in Las Vegas
Better walks begin with clearer communication
When every walk becomes a tug-of-war, it is easy to feel frustrated before you leave the house. A Heros K9 helps owners in Las Vegas, Summerlin, Aliante, Enterprise, Centennial Hills, and Tule Springs develop clearer communication, more manageable leash habits, and the handling skills to practice between sessions.
We start with your dog, your routines, and the walks you want to share.

Build the skills behind a better walk
Pulling can show up in different moments: rushing out the door, moving toward another dog, or charging ahead as soon as the leash loosens. Your evaluation helps us understand where the walk becomes difficult and what you and your dog need to practice first. We consider your handling, your dog's responses, and the places where you regularly walk. That gives the work a practical starting point.
Through the YinYang Method, we focus on the relationship and communication behind the behavior. Training can include following your direction, responding to changes in pace, pausing with you, and moving together with less leash tension. You also learn how to recognize progress and make practice manageable. As skills develop, we work toward using them around everyday distractions, with expectations matched to your dog's progress.
From avoiding walks to enjoying them
Drechir Whitfield described two dogs whose pulling had made walks something to avoid. In a Google review, Drechir credited Ray's owner education and reported being able to walk the dogs comfortably every day.
“now my dogs and I walk with ease every single day.. sometimes twice!”
— Drechir Whitfield, Google review
This is one owner's experience. Your dog's starting point, your goals, and consistent practice will shape your own training plan.
Questions about leash pulling
Can we work on pulling if my dog already knows commands?
Yes. Knowing a cue at home does not tell us how your dog responds during a walk. We look at the skills already in place, where communication breaks down, and how to make your practice more useful in the situations you actually encounter.
What if my dog also barks or lunges at other dogs?
Tell us in your application. We will consider those reactions alongside the pulling so the plan reflects the whole walk. Our reactivity training page explains how we approach dogs who struggle around distractions or triggers.
Start with your dog and your daily life
Apply first so Ray can review your goals. If your application is approved, the next step is a $200 in-home evaluation lasting approximately 90–120 minutes. The six-week Companion program starts at $4,800; see Programs for details.
We serve Las Vegas, Summerlin, Aliante, Enterprise, Centennial Hills, and Tule Springs, with additional service in Henderson and North Las Vegas. The aim is practical progress you can carry into your everyday walks together.
